Terms of Service

1. The service
Rename America is a parody game operated by GC Ventures in Hong Kong. Map labels, ownership, prices, tokens and editions exist only inside the game. They grant no real property, naming, intellectual-property or government rights. We are not affiliated with any government, city, landmark or mapping authority.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to agree to these terms in your location. You are responsible for your account, password and all activity under it. Provide accurate information, use only your own account and notify us through Contact / Report if access is compromised.
3. Names, images and other content
You keep any rights you hold in content you submit, while granting us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize, moderate and distribute it to operate and promote the game. Do not submit unlawful, hateful, harassing, misleading, infringing, explicit or privacy-invasive material. You must have permission to upload it.
4. Moderation
Automated filters are imperfect. We may remove or change content, reverse actions, limit features, suspend accounts or preserve evidence where reasonably necessary for safety, law, these terms or game integrity. Report concerns through Contact / Report.
5. Tokens, purchases and takeovers
Tokens are a limited, revocable licence to use game features. They are not money, property, investments or transferable currency and have no cash value. A place can always be taken by another player at the displayed next price. A purchase records the submitted name as an edition in your collection but does not preserve current control of the place. Token packs are sold in US dollars and tokens are added to your balance once payment is confirmed.
5a. Payments and reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and cancellation mechanics are also covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
6. Images and AI
Owners may upload an image for free or spend one token to request an AI-generated image. Outputs may be inaccurate, similar to other works or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing them before use. Generation may fail; any stated credit remedy applies only as shown in the service.
7. Fair play
Do not misuse payments, automate actions, manipulate votes or views, probe security, impersonate others, evade restrictions, disrupt the service or exploit bugs. Tell us about errors instead of abusing them.
8. Changes and availability
We may rebalance prices, tokens, achievements, rankings and features, or suspend and discontinue parts of the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent retention. Material changes to these terms will be posted in the service.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GC Ventures is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a dispute informally.
